While many aspects of a celebrity’s life are played out in the media, there are likely many areas that he or she would like to keep out of the spotlight. It must be difficult to fully concentrate on divorce proceedings when everyone seems to weigh in with their opinions. Some high-profile divorces are very messy, while other celebrities try to keep the media at bay by releasing almost matching press releases about how amicable the divorce will be.

Fortunately, most people don’t have to deal with this aspect of a divorce. While some divorce cases can be acrimonious, they are not paraded all over the tabloids. Everyday people in Colorado and around the country can work with their divorce attorneys for child custody and support, alimony and an equitable share of the marital assets.

For Trace Adkins and his wife, their divorce has already been in the public’s eye. This may be due to the difficulties the country singer has had in the recent past. He had an altercation with a man who was supposedly impersonating him, he entered an rehab center for alleged alcohol dependency and his father passed away last month.

Adkin’s wife filed for divorce after 16 years’ of marriage, “citing irreconcilable differences.” She is seeking custody of the couple’s three girls, ages 9, 12, and 16. She also wants child and spousal support.

During a recent concert at Nashville’s The Grand Old Opry, a member of another band said that the singer looks good after losing weight and toning up. He said Adkins was smiling and looked genuinely happy. Perhaps the star’s troubles will begin to find their way behind him.
