Police forces across the state of Colorado go to great lengths to crack down on drunk drivers, such as increasing patrols and conducting frequent DUI checkpoints. Being arrested on suspicion of DUI can not only cause a great deal of stress and worry, but it is also humiliating and can ruin a person’s reputation.

One man is seeking DUI defense after he allegedly crashed into a home in Colorado Springs. The incident occurred just after midnight in the area of Union Boulevard and Fountain Boulevard. An eyewitness said he helped the driver exit the vehicle and, as he was doing so, heard a hissing noise and smelled gas. Reportedly, the vehicle struck a gas meter, and the residents of the home were evacuated. There were no injuries reported. After police arrived on the scene, they arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
