Celebrity divorces often get a lot of press, which makes it all the more obvious when disputes turn sour. There is a lot to be considered in a divorce involving lots of money and assets, particularly if a couple has children. The seemingly prolonged divorce of actor Kelsey Grammer and his wife, Camille, was no exception.

While the estranged couple’s divorce actually was expedited once the actor expressed his desire to marry his new girlfriend, their child custody dispute did not come to a close that quickly.

However, they have apparently ended the battle. According to an ABC News article, they amicably settled the dispute, allowing the children to live with their mother. However, they will have “meaningful” contact with their father as well.

Last May, Kelsey Grammer reportedly filed for sole physical custody of the children. He later proposed that one child live with him in Chicago and the other live with his ex-wife in California.

The children, a 10-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son, are the product of the couple’s 13-year-marriage. Two weeks after the divorce was finalized, Grammer married his girlfriend, who is over 10 years younger than his ex-wife, marking his fourth marriage. The couple is now expecting twins.

The unraveling of the Grammers’ marriage was noted on the reality show on which Camille Grammer starred, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” on which Kelsey Grammer made several appearances. Kelsey Grammer, of course, is best known for playing Frasier Crane on “Cheers” and “Frasier.”
